Sam and her partner leading auditions in Washington

From summer of 2014 to the fall of 2015, Sam was a Tour Actor-Director with the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT).

MCT has maintained a 40-year commitment to children’s theatre across the globe.  Tour Actor-Directors (or TADs) tour in teams of two, auditioning local children on Monday, teaching and rehearsing throughout the week, and performing a one-hour-long musical with the children by the end of the week.  TADs bring all of the necessary set, costumes, make-up, and know-how, and the children provide the rest.

In 45 residencies, Sam taught in 12 states and 5 countries, including a week with a Japanese-speaking cast.  She performed everywhere from cafeterias to convents, working with as many as 63 kids one week and as little as 23 the next.  She and her partners have been on the radio four times, in multiple newspapers, and on TV twice.  In total, Sam had the privilege of  working with 2,068 children in “Blackbeard the Pirate” and “Cinderella” casts and over 5,500 in various workshops.
