Sam is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California with a double major in English and Theatre and additional training in clowning, devising, improv, and Commedia.  Sam began her career with a year-and-a-half touring the US, Canada, and southeast Asia with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, followed by over two years teaching and performing with the California Theatre Center in Sunnyvale.  Favorite roles include Leo Clark in Hillbarn’s “Leading Ladies,” Virgil in Epic Immersive’s sold out run of “Infernal Motel,” and Lucinda in Los Alto’s Stage Company’s “Into the Woods.”

The era of shelter-in-place has brought new challenges to living as a theatre artist, but Sam still worked with her favorite companies as much as she could.  She appeared fully-distanced, be-visored, and bearded in The Pear’s pandemic “Lysistrata.”  She was also moderator and quiz writer for Hillbarn Theatre’s Wednesday night trivia sessions on twitch and the producer and host for the Dragon Theatre’s creepy storytelling show, “Sleepless with the Dragon” every third Saturday of the month.

Nowadays, Sam can be found working as a Lead Educator for History San José’s hands-on field trip experiences and as a company member of the Red Ladder Theatre Company, facilitating improv-based workshops in California State Prisons.
