Sam is an alumna of Saint Mary’s College of California with a double major in English and Theatre.  She graduated summa cum laude in the summer of 2014.  While studying at SMC, she focused on writing, directing, and physical performance, as well as designing and completing her own honors courses on German expressionism and disability in theatre.

Sam has also taken part in multiple intensive workshops focused on topics including combat (unarmed and broadsword), commedia dell’arte, Chicago-style improvisation, devised theatre, and clowning.  She’s proud to have studied under many teachers including Dave Maier, Sabra Williams, Dave Razowski, Mark Jackson, and Dan Griffiths.
